Jowett Motor Group announcement: Berwick BMW

The Jowett Motor Group (JMG) is proud to announce the development of Victoria’s newest BMW dealership, due to open in 2020 on the Princes Highway in Berwick.

Tony Jowett, Founder and CEO of JMG, was BMW’s newest dealership appointment in 15 years when he opened the Waverley BMW dealership in 2013. After steady growth at Waverley BMW, JMG have been granted the opportunity to spread their business into the incredibly high growth corridor in Melbourne’s South East.

Brett Jakes who is the Dealer Principal of Waverley BMW will also take the reins at Berwick BMW. With 25 years in the automotive industry starting on the OEM side before moving into retail for the last 15 years, Brett will bring considerable experience to the new team.

“With 8 years BMW Dealer Principal experience, including the last 2 years with me at Waverley BMW, Brett’s track record speaks for itself” says Tony.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to build a substantial BMW presence in the South Eastern corridor of greater Melbourne. We know there’s an appetite for prestige vehicles in the area and we plan to provide a genuine BMW destination for the local community of Berwick and surrounds” offers Brett.

When completed, this BMW dealership promises a state-of-the-art showroom, with customer experience first and foremost. More will be revealed as the business is closer to opening.

The timing of this dealership launch is perfect. BMW are coming off the back of a massive 24 months with multiple vehicle updates and new product launches, so the brand is currently well positioned for growth. And this growth is expected to continue with more product updates next year including a number of new X and M models.

The site will have excellent access with plenty of customer parking. The dealership itself, will showcase around 40 new vehicles and 40 used vehicles. The service area is large and ready to cope with the anticipated demand for a genuine BMW service alternative. Amongst the good news stories for the local community is that the dealership will appoint 30 staff for the opening which is bound to grow as the business establishes itself in the local community.

The dealership commences construction in Q4 this year with the probability it will be open to trade in mid 2020.
